Águas do Tejo Atlântico, in partnership with the Lisbon International Centre for Water (LIS-Water) and the National Civil Engineering Laboratory (LNEC), will hold the 2nd edition of “ProAguas Indústria 2023-2025: Industrial Wastewater Management” from October 24 to 27, 2023 at Fábrica das Palavras in Vila Franca de Xira.
Integrated into the “AgIR – Action Plan for the Management of Industrial Waste Water in the Greater Lisbon and West Region”, this training aims to technically train economic agents to implement environmentally sustainable and more circular practices, minimizing and eliminating inflows undue industrial.
The training aims to improve industrial wastewater management services and the way they relate to intervening entities. The action will also address solutions for the industry to manage its industrial waters, the connection to public drainage and reuse systems, as well as the instruments and monitoring processes that must be carried out by the managing entities “in decline” and “in high”.
Aimed at technicians from municipalities and industries, 10 editions were scheduled in different locations, including: 2 editions in 2023; 4 editions in 2024; and 4 editions in 2025. Places will be limited to a maximum of 30 participants per edition to allow for better interaction between everyone. Registration, free of charge, will only be carried out by invitation from AdTA.
The “AgIR – Action Plan for the Management of Industrial Waste Water in the Greater Lisbon and West Region” aims to minimize and eliminate undue industrial inflows into municipal drainage networks and treatment systems, which compromise the integrity of these infrastructures that threaten the compliance with discharge licenses and the environmental balance of the receiving media.
