Until October 16th, a new version of the Draft Regulation on the Quality of Service Provided to End Users prepared by ERSAR will be up for (second) public consultation.
The aim is to establish minimum levels of quality of service provided by entities managing water supply, wastewater sanitation and urban waste management services to end users, as well as the compensation due in case of non-compliance.
It is important that the sector participates in this consultation, due to the importance of the instrument itself and the need to find a careful balance in a triangle between adequate and harmonized minimum levels of service quality, compensation that provides the right economic incentive but does not jeopardize the economic and financial situation of management entities and the capacity of many medium and small management entities to record the necessary information.
