We are organizing the LIS-Water’s day | From Latin America to Portugal: a look at the governance of water services, taking place on the 24th of May, at the congress center of the National Civil Engineering Laboratory, in Lisbon, between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
LIS-Water’s day is an event that intends to bring to debate the general national and international panorama of water services and a compilation of good practices and experiences of good governance. Interesting experiences will also be addressed in topics such as evaluating and improving the performance of service operators, corporate governance and innovative financing. It will certainly be an opportunity for Portuguese entities and companies to have a perspective of the challenges and market opportunities in that region, and to establish contacts with some of its senior leaders
This year, LIS-Water’s day pays special attention to Latin America, and will feature the participation of leading specialists in the region, the Inter-American Development Bank and regulators from 10 countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama, Peru and Uruguay).
LIS-Water Day’s is sponsored by AGS – Water Solutions and has the support of EPAL – Empresa Portuguesa das Águas Livres, SA and Águas de Cascais, S.A.

This delegation of foreign guests will be in Portugal to participate in the RegWAS Interchange Retreat for Regulators, an exclusive experience designed by LIS-Water with the motto: to know, reflect, live together and inspire. This experience will take place between the 21st and 27th of May, with group dynamics, technical and cultural visits.
Both the LIS-Water’s day and the Retiro are part of the RegWAS LAC program to improve public policies and the regulation of water and sanitation services in Latin America and the Caribbean. This program brings together 47 regulators from 20 countries and is being promoted by LIS-Water in a strategic partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Association of Drinking Water and Sanitation Regulatory Entities of the Americas (ADERASA), with the support of the Government of Portugal and the participation of ERSAR.

Together with its partners, the association intends to make available and produce the best and most up-to-date knowledge at an international level and to transfer it continuously to decision-makers, water professionals, industry and society.
In this way, we will make our contribution towards achieving the great goals of humanity regarding better water governance, for a better world.

The AdP Group is responsible for the integrated management of the urban water cycle, providing services to Municipalities, which are simultaneously shareholders of the companies managing multi-municipal systems, and directly serving the population through municipal water supply and sanitation systems.
