A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Association of Drinking Water and Sanitation Regulatory Entities of the Americas (ADERASA) and LIS-Water last October 14, during the XIV Ibero-American Regulation Forum, held in Bolivia.

The Memorandum establishes a strategic partnership for technical cooperation between the parties, based on trust and mutual benefits, with emphasis on the context of good relations and the high potential for existing synergy. This Memorandum is expected to remain in effect for five years and continues the results already achieved and the remarkable mobilization and great dynamism generated from RegWAS LAC, an innovative program to improve regulation in the region, developed by both parties and with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Government of Portugal, with the participation of 40 regulators from the region, in addition to the collaboration of other institutions in the sector.
