The Acqualive conference is organized by the AIP Foundation, within the scope of the Portugal Smart Cities Summit 2022, in partnership with LIS-Water, Lisbon International Center for Water, and PPA – Parceria Portuguesa para a Água.
This conference will take place on the 11th of October at the NOS Auditorium, at FIL – Parque das Nações, and will have as its theme the modernization and sustainability of urban water services and will have the presence of five speakers:
The framing will be done by João Simão Pires from Parceria Portuguesa para a Água and Lisbon International Center for Water – LIS-Water.
Water management and efficiency will be addressed by Jóni Barroso, Business Development Manager at Indaqua.
The reuse of wastewater will be addressed by Alexandra Serra, President of Águas do Tejo Atlântico.
The management and digitization of the urban water cycle will be addressed by Ruben Fernandes, President of Águas e Energia do Porto.
Artificial intelligence in the urban water cycle will be addressed by Diogo Vitorino, Chief Technology Officer at Baseform.
Innovation and internationalization will be addressed by José Saldanha Matos, President of the Portuguese Partnership for Water.

LIS-Water’s mission is thus to reinforce public policies, regulation and management of water services for the benefit of society, integrating the best knowledge in management, economics, engineering, law, social sciences, communication and other relevant areas.
Together with its partners, the association intends to make available and produce the best and most up-to-date knowledge at an international level and to transfer it continuously to decision-makers, water professionals, industry and society.
In this way, we will make our contribution towards achieving the great goals of humanity regarding better water governance, for a better world.
