The XII Brazilian Congress of Regulation will take place between November 10 and 12 and will have as its central theme “The role of regulation and sustainable development in Brazil”.
The ABAR Congress, held every two years, is considered the most important event on regulatory issues in Brazil. Essential topics and services are covered, such as basic sanitation, mobility, innovation, public transport, different modes of transport and energy (gas, electricity, oil and other sources), as well as legal issues, governance and good regulatory practices.
LIS-Water will be speaking on the panel on “Performance indicators and targets: monitoring the sanitation sector.
This year, the Congress will also host two other important international events: FIAR (Ibero-American Regulation Forum), promoted by the Asociación de Entes Reguladores de Agua Potable y Saneamiento de las Américas (ADERASA), which will be held on the 9th and 10th; and ERSAN (Meeting of Regulatory Entities for Basic Sanitation Services and Water Resources in Ibero-American Countries and the Portuguese-speaking Community), promoted by a group of organizations, including ERSARA (Regulatory Entity for Water and Waste Services in the Azores), to be held on the 11th.
